Kirstie's Vintage Homes by Kirsty Allsop

Today Kirsty Allsops new book came out, 'Kirstie's Vintage Homes' and I have to say I am so keen to see what it is like that I don't think I can wait till the TV programme starts next month.

I have recently been looking throughher previous book, 'Kirstie Allsop Craft' in preperation for Christmas gifts and have fallen in love with quilting all over again and have learnt a new term, 'fat quarter' and now have also found two new favourite websites My Fabric House and Kirstie Allsop's Official Website.

If you have already bought or read this book please leave me a comment on what you thought of it.

Gok Cooks Chinese by Gok Wan

I love chinese food but after a while I started getting bored of take aways and was disappointed by the other options so decided I would learn to cook it. Using FoodNetwork Channel and Ching-He-Huang's books made various stirfries but struggled to make won-tons since we do not have a chinese supermarket this far north, until I discovered this on pinterest.

Gok's book is one of my favourites. Some of the recipes in this book are complicated for complete novisis but there is something in this book for everyone. I have tried the following...

Gok's Chicken & Leek Potsickers

My Chicken & Leek Potsickers
(sorry not the best pic but they were super tasty)
Gok's Garlic Chicken

My Garlic Chicken with Egg Fried Rice would make
this again it was very easy

My Little Paris Kitchen by Rachel Khoo

I stumbled across this tv series and book completely by accident, a page that I follow on facebook 'Ladies that Lunch' was talking about a programme they had caught the end of on a BBC channel. It sounded interesting so I looked into it and fell in love straight away.

I never thought I would enjoy french food but I guess that is because I new very little about it. Ssince watching the show I have made a lot from this book, my two favourites are Duck Orangina and Cchocolate Lava Cake...
